More About Me

EXPERIENCE

I have over 35 years of real estate experience in residential resale and new construction. For 3 years I was the managing broker of a 30+ agent office in Bellevue. I was ultimately responsible for reviewing and ensuring the smooth completion of 40 to 50 transactions each month adding tremendous depth to my knowledge and experience. I have been successful in all types of markets representing both Buyers and Sellers.

PERSONAL STENGTHS

I have an easy going personality combined with honesty and a strong work ethic. I take continuing education classes throughout the year to keep current on changes and trends in the industry. My experience makes me good at anticipating potential problems and I am an excellent problem solver when they do appear. I am a good negotiator, comfortable on the Buyer or Seller side of the table. I develop a comprehensive plan, put it in writing for the client and then follow it through to a successful completion. I work with a limited number of clients at any one time to ensure each client gets the attention and level of service they deserve

BUSINESS PRACTICES

For Sellers, I have an aggressive marketing program that is easily adjusted to the unique needs of a specific property. I put the plan in writing, with dates, so that the Seller knows exactly what I am doing each day to market their home. For Buyers, I believe the most important part of my job is providing them with the information they need to make an informed decision on purchasing the right property at the right price. I put systems in place to ensure they know about a potential property as soon as it becomes available.

PERSONAL INFORMATION

I was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, moving to the Seattle area in 1980. Previous careers include 12 years in the restaurant industry and 7 years as an electrical contractor specializing in low-voltage landscape lighting. I enjoy cooking, good wine, hiking, golf and trains. Much of my time off is spent working on a garden railroad in my backyard.
